StencilGirl and Woodicing Workshop with Mary Nasser

This weekend I had a super fun opportunity to go experiment with some new art materials at an art workshop with Mary Nasser.  She was showing participants how to experiment with 2 new art materials:
StencilGirl Stencils
Woodicing
So I chose a few Stencilgirl Stencils that visually appealed to me and applied the woodicing over it using a palette knife.  It was such an interesting process.  It goes on the surface like paste but then dries like the texture of cermaics.
The best part part of this process is the fact that you can paint over these stencil designs and also carve into the woodicing as it dries to create deeper visual layers in the process.
