In the Studio: Chalkboard Toy Chest

This weekend Shyla and I spent much of our time in the basement and Home Depot getting stuff for our Chalkboard Painting endeavor:

The Process:

1. Clean surface and let dry.
2. If you are painting on barewood or metal, it is best to put down a few layers of Laytex Primer prior to applying Rustoleum Chalkboard Paint.
3. Use a good quality synthetic brush, 1/4"-3/8" nap roller or dense foam roller designed to give a smooth finish.  For best results apply with roller.  A second coat be applied in 4 hours.  This brand of paint dries in 30 minutes.
4. Allow 3 days before conditioning and writing.
